A jovial man fueled by an undying love for Jazz and LatinJazz music, trumpet player and bandleader Dr. Bobby Rodriguez is always quick to emphasize that he’s just a guy from East L.A. who was blessed and dedicated enough to make it to the big leagues. This might explain why Rodriguez peppers his feverish agenda of nonstop touring and recording with a variety of educational and philanthropic events. A musician’s musician, he’s equally comfortable performing at the Hollywood Bowl or on the Love Boat, where he spent four years touring the world. Known for his annual Christmas shows in Southern California and for leading the Latin Jazz ensembles at the University of California, Los Angeles UCLA, University of California, Irvine UCI, Pasadena City College. Rodriguez is an incurable romantic, as is evident on his CD LatinJazz Romance.
